Solar raindrop string lights, 20 multicolour LEDs, 4.8 m

About this product

The string has 20 multicolour LEDs, each under a crystal raindrop cover, on 4.8 m of wire. A solar panel charges it during the day and the lights come on when it gets dark. There are two settings, steady on and flashing. The material is listed as plastic and rubber, and the set weighs 290 g.

The listing gives an IPX7 rating and outdoor use. The seller asks that the switch is turned to On, otherwise the string will not charge, and suggests bringing the lights indoors in a thunderstorm or snowstorm to extend their life.

What to use it for

The seller names a gazebo, a patio, a balcony, a garden and a barbecue area, and 4.8 m with 20 drops suits a balcony rail, a gazebo post or a small shrub.

Care and safety

Keep the switch on so the panel can charge, and bring the string indoors in a thunderstorm or snowstorm, as the seller suggests. Wipe the raindrop covers with a damp cloth.
