About this product

The string has 1000 warm white LEDs on copper wire over 100 m, with 10 cm between bulbs and a 3 m power cable. It plugs into the mains and comes with a remote control. The material is listed as copper and plastic.

The remote or the plug button selects one of eight effects: steady on, in wave, sequential, slow glow, chasing flash, fade, twinkle flash and combination. The remote also sets four brightness levels (100, 75, 50 and 25 percent) and a timer of 4, 6 or 8 hours, and the string remembers its last mode. The description gives an IP44 rating and a 31V supply for indoor and outdoor use, although the usage line in the specifications says indoor.

What to use it for

A 100 m string suits big jobs such as a large garden tree, a long fence or a gazebo frame, and a single 3 m cable brings the power in.

Care and safety

Unplug the string before taking it down and wind it onto a reel or into loose coils. Keep the plug dry.
