About this product
The string has 50 multicolour LEDs on a 23 ft (7 m) copper wire and is charged by a solar panel. The listing gives it for outdoor use, with an IP65 rating for both the panel and the string. A stake is included, along with the solar panel and a user manual.
The lights charge during the day and switch on at dusk and off at dawn. The description quotes 6 to 8 hours of charging for 6 to 10 hours of light, from an 800 mAh battery. Two switches control the power and the mode. The eight modes are combination, in waves, sequential, slow glow, chasing flash, slow fade, twinkle flash and steady on.
What to use it for
Seven metres is enough to run along a fence panel or round a shrub, and the solar panel needs a spot in direct sun.
Care and safety
Wipe the solar panel with a soft cloth when it is dusty, since it has to face the sun to charge. Switch the lights off for storage.
