Multicolour mains fairy lights, 1000 LEDs, 50 m, 8 modes

About this product

This string carries 1000 multicolour LEDs spaced 5 cm apart over 50 m of lit length, plus a 10 m lead wire to reach the socket. It runs from the mains through a 31V low voltage adapter, so no batteries are involved, and the set weighs 1.3 kg.

A button on the plug adapter cycles through eight modes: combination, steady on, slow fade, in waves, slow glow, chasing flash, sequential and twinkle flash. The cable is clear and the material is listed as plastic. The listing gives an IP44 rating and says the lights can be used indoors or outdoors.

What to use it for

At 50 m, one string is enough to wind round a large tree several times or run along a fence line, and the 10 m lead wire helps it reach a socket from a distance.

Care and safety

Unplug the adapter before handling the string. Wipe the clear cable with a dry cloth if it gets dusty and store it in loose coils.
