Star fairy lights, 40 LEDs on 20 ft of wire, battery powered

About this product

The string has 40 warm white LEDs on a 20 ft (about 6 m) wire, listed in a star style. It is powered by a battery case that takes 3 AA batteries, which are not included, and the description mentions a sliding switch. The material is listed as plastic and the colour as white.

There are two modes, steady on and flashing. The description says the lights are flicker free and come on in under half a second. The specifications list the string as not water resistant, although the description quotes an IP44 rating, so keep it indoors. The wire can be curved into shapes for a bedroom, a window curtain or a bar.

What to use it for

Six metres of star lights can frame a window or run along a shelf or a headboard, and the battery case keeps it cordless.

Care and safety

Keep the battery case and the string dry, since the specifications give it as not water resistant. Take the batteries out for storage.
