Elf on the Shelf box set, boy Scout Elf with brown eyes and storybook

About this product

This box set pairs a boy Scout Elf doll, with brown eyes, and the storybook that explains the Elf on the Shelf tradition. The listing also names an adoption certificate. The materials are fabric and vinyl, and the set is listed at 7 x 18.3 x 26.9 cm and 667 g for ages 3 and up.

In the story, the elf reports to Santa each night, and the child looks for its hiding place the next morning. The set needs no batteries or assembly and is listed for indoor use. Amazon buyers give it 4.8 out of 5 from 3,683 reviews.

What to use it for

Used through the Christmas season: once the storybook has explained the tradition, the elf is put in a new spot each night and the child finds it in the morning.

Care and safety

Between seasons the elf, book and certificate go back in the box. For the vinyl face, a dry or lightly damp cloth is enough, as the listing gives no cleaning guidance.
