Set of 8 Christmas wind-up toys: Santa, snowman, penguin and more

About this product

The set has eight wind-up toys in plastic, each about 2 inches (5 cm) tall. The characters include Santa, a snowman, a gingerbread man, a yellow reindeer and a penguin, and the listing says some walk slowly while others bounce.

A metal spring inside is tightened by turning it and then released to make the toy move, so no batteries are needed. The seller calls the plastic non-toxic and odour-free and lists the toys for indoor use. The age guidance is inconsistent in the listing, so check it on Amazon before giving them to young children.

What to use it for

Wind one up and set it down on a table to watch it walk or bounce, or tuck the eight into stockings and party bags.

Care and safety

Wind the toys gently and keep them dry, as each one runs on a metal spring.
