About this product
The string is 15.24 m (50 ft) long with 480 blue and white LEDs, hung in a staggered pattern of 3, 7, 4 and 6 per strand, plus a 10 m lead wire. It is mains powered and comes with a British plug and an instruction manual.
The button on the plug switches between a steady mode and 7 flashing modes, and the chip remembers the last one when the power is switched off and on again. Holding the button for 3 seconds starts the timer, 6 hours on and 18 hours off. The string is rated IP44 and sold for outdoor use, but the seller warns that the plug must not get wet. The material is listed as plastic.
What to use it for
Fix it under eaves, along a fence or around a pavilion roof, with the 10 m lead running back to a socket.
Care and safety
Keep the plug dry, which is the seller’s own warning, and unplug the string before taking it down. Store the strands loosely in a box rather than pulled tight.
