Twenty-four surprises make up 278 pieces. Eight minifigures wear Hogwarts Christmas jumpers and carry wands: Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Cedric Diggory, Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini, Hannah Abbott and Angelina Johnson. Six creature figures complete the cast: Hedwig, Buckbeak, Aragog, a Thestral, a Mandrake and a Stag Patronus, with posable wings on Buckbeak and the Thestral and posable legs on Aragog.

The 10 mini builds are the Sorting Hat, a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a chocolate frog, Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans, butterbeer, 3 potions, The Monster Book of Monsters and 2 Galleons. Assembly is needed, and the box is 38.2 x 26.2 x 7 cm. Illustrated instructions are printed on the back of each door and in the LEGO Builder app. The recommended age is 7 and up.

What to use it for

Read the picture guide on the back of each door and build that day’s minifigure, creature or mini build. Finished figures can then stand on a shelf or be used for play.

Care and safety

Keep the wands, accessories and small bricks in the box between sessions so none go missing, and clean the plastic with a dry cloth.
