When can you start wearing a Christmas jumper?

There is no rule. December is the usual month, and Christmas Jumper Day, which changes date every year, is the day schools and offices tend to join in. For a jumper you will wear many times, a plain knit or sweatshirt is simpler than a light-up one with a battery pack.

What day is Christmas Jumper Day?

Save the Children runs Christmas Jumper Day in December, and the date moves from year to year. Our guide to Christmas Jumper Day 2026 gives this year’s date and says what it raises money for.

What do Americans call Christmas jumpers?

Americans say Christmas sweaters, and the novelty kind are ugly Christmas sweaters. Some sellers on Amazon.co.uk use sweater or pullover in their titles as well, so those are useful words if you search yourself.

What is the best Christmas jumper?

It depends on where you will wear it. A knitted fair isle or cable jumper works at a family dinner, and a printed or light-up one is the better pick for Christmas Jumper Day or a party. Compare the size range, the material line and the reviews that mention fit before you compare prices.

Are there Christmas jumpers for children and for the whole family?

Yes. Children’s sweatshirts for boys and girls are on this page at the lowest prices, and unisex jumpers cover adult sizes. For identical outfits, family matching pyjamas come in baby, children’s and adult sizes.
